José translated cutting edge genomics and optics into profitable molecular diagnostics (Cipherome), chip diagnostics (KLA), and semiconductor devices (IBM) that resulted in reducing the risk of leg amputations, cost-effective semiconductor manufacturing, and faster circuits, respectively. >>>>

Dr. Mohammed Mostajo-Radji is an Assistant Research Scientist at the Genomics Institute of the University of California, Santa Cruz (UCSC), where his lab is part of the Braingeneers group, a multidisciplinary collective of geneticists, neuroscientists, and engineers focused on understanding the specification and function of the human brain.  >>>>​​​

Dr. Vaibhav Upadhyay is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of California San Francisco (UCSF) with nearly two decades of experience in medicine and medical research. He cares for patients with complex medical conditions in intensive care units and is board-certified in Internal Medicine, Critical Care Medicine, and Pulmonary Medicine. Lauren Dierdorff is a Ph.D. candidate in Neuroscience at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, conducting translational research in the De Rubeis lab within the Seaver Autism Center for Research and Treatment and Department of Psychiatry. Her work focuses on the cortical circuits underlying motor deficits in a model of DDX3X syndrome, a rare genetic neurodevelopmental disorder.  >>>>

Wei-Yu Chi is a medical doctor and current Ph.D. candidate at Weill Cornell Medicine, specializing in the development of single-cell sequencing technologies. With a focus on oncology, he is pioneering a novel sequencing method to profile transcription factor binding in single cells—a critical advance for understanding blood cancers such as leukemia and lymphoma and identifying potential drug targets. >>>>​​​

Nicolas Velez is a current postdoctoral research fellow working at the Institute of Regenerative Medicine at the Icahn School of Medicine in Mount Sinai. His work focuses on the intersection between neural circuitry integrity and immunity in diseases like Alzheimer’s disease and multiple sclerosis. For his research he employs a gamut of experimental and computational techniques, going from synthetic biology, to genomics and AI, to study neuroimmune interactions in patient-derived tissue.   >>>>​​​
